Day 645 – No panic at the disco

Start of the week happened eventless. Nothing of extraordinary wants to haunt us here in Donegal Town on this beautiful and warm Monday. Hey, wait! Warm? Beautiful? This in itself, for Ireland weather, is quite unique, but let’s put it aside.

Have a quick watch of an update that I recorded in Leghowney, and meet me below for the rest of the write up:

[watch time: 6min 42s]

It is in fact a bit abnormal to experience such a “heatwave” now, so unexpected, but also so disappointing. It brings some hot air and weird warmth, but at the same time still delivers breeze and overcast that reminds of the rest of the year.

If you watched the video you know that I recorded it while Julian was participating in the school year end disco party. It was pretty mediocre in fairness, albeit for younger kids it was a blast and they thoroughly enjoyed it. In Julian’s class there were only some people and it was quite boring for them so after about an hour or so, we returned back home.

The disappointment was doubled by the fact that at the same time Julian had two options to choose: Drumbar United FC match vs Eany Celtic or the disco. His friends built some excitement around it and so he chose the latter, which in the end made him feel bad, because not only he was bored to death, but also his team lost to Eany 4:0. He could’ve helped, but he needs to take it and feel accountability for decision making.

Tomorrow is a tough day. I have to depart Donegal Town at 5am and find parking space before 9am near Dublin Castle, where the National Cyber Security Centre Conference takes place. I am one of delegates and I hope to build some lasting connections there with people within the industry of Information Security, Compliance, Privacy and CyberResponse.

For that reason I will wrap up now, get to the shower, and use the remaining time of sleep to at least be able to drive safe to Dublin.

Stay tuned and see you tomorrow!
